Don DaLee paints in a representational style specializing in watercolor. Having been interested in painting his entire life, he began to paint watercolors while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alabama. He particularly enjoys painting scenes of the Florida gulf coast and the North Georgia mountains. Don owned Penmark, Inc., a graphic design studio in Atlanta, for over 30 years, designing advertising and sales promotion materials for clients such as Coca-Cola, Oscar Mayer, Arby's and M&M Mars. After living in Atlanta for 36 years and for two years in Panama City Beach, Don and wife Comella moved into their new north Georgia home in the spring of 2002. He now concentrates almost entirely on watercolor painting and enjoys participating in art shows in the region. He is a member of The Cherokee County Arts Council, The Arts Alliance of Georgia, The Lake Arrowhead Artisans Guild and the Georgia Watercolor Society. |
